Graduated from the Leningrad State Institute for Theatre, Music and Cinema in 1965.
She made her debut in the Leningrad State Theatre named after Lenin Komsomol in the roles of Polly Peachum (Threepennies Opera) and Ol-Ol (Days of Our Lives).
Since 1967, worked at the Tovstonogov Great Drama Theatre. Among her main roles: Clay (The Fox and the Grapes), Liselotte (Two Theatres), Armande (Moliere), Maria Antonovna (The Government Inspector), Vera (Three sacks of wheat weeds), Julia (Summerfolk), Alexandra (Fantasies of Faryatiev).
Since 1979 — at the Theatre named after Mossovet. The main roles in: If I am alive, Theme with Variations, Hedda Gabler, «The truth — good, but happiness is better», Stove on wheel, Widow's boat, Ornifl.
Since 1988 — Artist of the Moscow Art Theatre. She played: Ranevskaya ( The Cherry Orchard), Madeleine Bejart (Sanctimonious persons' Kabala), Irina (Tragedians and Comedians), Countess Erminia fon Valensey (The Beautiful life (La belle vie)), Sekleteya Semyonovna (Blessed Island), Rakel (After the Rehearsal), Fekla Ivanovna (The Marriage), Ancha (Zero) and other roles.
Now playing in the Moscow Art Theatre in performances: The New American (Tasya), Christmas Dreams (Tatiana), Retro (Diana Barabanova), The Wood (Gurmijskaya), The Breath of Life (Frances Beale).
Playing in the performances: Provocation (Moscow theatre School of Modern Drama), Frederick or the Crime Boulevard (State Theatre named after E. Vakhtangov) and The Uncle's Dream (Moscow Modern Theatre). In the Moscow theatre School of Modern Drama played in the performance Chairs.
In 1995 was awarded the Theatre Prize Golden Mask for the role of Lavey in the performance Chairs (Moscow theatre School of Modern Drama), in 2005 — the Stanislavsky Award for her role of Gurmijskaya in the performance The Wood (Moscow Art Theatre).
Acted in such films as: The Green Cab, Elder sister, Our friends, Love and Pigeons, The Uncle's Dream and others.
